Through extensive experience, the ELA Education team has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by leaders in Early Years and schools settings.

 

We also understand how to engage stakeholders from diverse cultural and socio-economic communities, and offer short courses, a range of apprenticeships, and support solutions to support education provisions on their journey of continuous improvement.

Meet Our Team

Narlisa Davis

Narilisa has excellent knowledge of the Early Years sector with nearly 10 years of experience as an Early Year’s Practitioner, maintaining compliance and working to the requirements of the early years foundation stage. Narlisa has a true passion for the sector, and building relationships within it.

Paige Wesson

Paige has been assessing an array of level 2 and 3 Early Years qualifications since 2018. Before this, She was a Senior Practitioner in nurseries for almost 7 years. She worked in day nurseries, schools and special needs settings during this time, and so has a wide range of experience in the Early Years sector.

AMIE HOWARD

Amie has been part of the ELA Group since February 2019. Before joining ELA, she worked with an online distance learning college, where she taught and trained teaching assistants. Her area of specialisation is Early Years, and Support Teaching and Learning.

AMY LEEDS

Amy Leeds has been assessing level 2 and 3 Early Years qualifications since 2016. Before this, she was an Early Years Practitioner/Montessori for almost 20 years. She worked in pre-schools and day nurseries during this time, and so has a wide range of experience in the Early Years sector.

DEBORAH READER

An assessor on the Early Years team, Debora has worked in Early Years sector for over 20 years, being qualified up to level 5. She has also worked for 10 years in the NHS, specifically in change management and service management. Deborah has been assessing for approx. 2.5 years, and is training to be an IQA.

JASNA BEGUM

From the age of 16 years, Jasna has been working in Early Years. She started off as an apprentice, herself, in a private nursery and, over the years, worked her way up the ladder to nursery manager. She has been part of the Early Years industry for over 15 years now. Jasna has got level 2 and 3 qualifications in Early Years, and holds a level 3 award in education and training.

Liz Finlayson

Liz heads up our Childcare, Early Years and Schools Apprenticeship programmes across London and the South East. Liz oversees delivery, quality assurance, curriculum development and business development. Liz holds a Lead IQA Award, PTTLS Qualification, A1 Assessors Award and an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.

JOANNA MIZERA

Joanna Mizera is a graduate in Business Administration, with more than 5 years’ experience in work-based learning with a large National Provider before she joined ELA. Accurate and timely completion of compliance requirements is a top business priority that Jo helps us achieve.

ALI KHAN

More than 20 years’ experience in the leadership of Adult Learning and Apprenticeships. He is a qualified PRINCE2® and APM Project Manager, but most of all is passionate about people and making a difference. Ali is the founding director of ELA Training Services.

RACHEL BRANDWOOD

Rachel is our Head of Quality. While having a qualified teaching status and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Rachel is also a qualified Project Manager and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Carla Jamieson

Carla has over 27 years of Early Years experience. She has been assessing since 2006, and has an IQA since 2009. She has worked in a variety of Early Years roles, and has experience in managing and leading teams. Carla is passionate about best practice, and has supported many learners in achieving their goals. She continues to enjoy this aspect in her current role at ELA.

CHRIS KISTAN

Chris is a highly accomplished teacher, trainer and coach with experience ranging from senior School Leadership to leadership consultancy. He has specialised in the delivery of training in Leadership development, Mental Health First Aid and effective Special Education Needs practices in schools.

Helen Smith

As the Lead IQA for Early Years programmes, Helen is responsible for the continual quality of the Early Years training provision. She is highly passionate about providing high quality teaching and learning to children, and the Young People’s Workforce. Helen has 15 years’ experience in teaching and assessing, and is a qualified FE teacher with the DTTLS qualification.

Karen Biddulph

KAREN BIDDULPH

Karen has been working in childcare since 1987. She has previously been a childcare manager of a multi-cultural centre; running pre-school, messy play, parents and tots, youth clubs and breakfast club on-site and off-site after-school clubs, and holiday playschemes for 4 to 13 year olds. She’s been a training officer- assessor since 2006.

Jasmine Junco

Having already worked for several years in the training sector, Jasmine is a highly efficient and effective administration coordinator, who quickly adapts to a variety of systems and platforms. She offers excellent levels of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders. Jasmine also has a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.

Anita Gomez

Anita has more than 20 years experience of working in the lifelong learning sector as a qualified trainer, assessor and coach. Anita is passionate about helping people; and after a varied career has found her calling, supporting those with barriers to learning with their Functional Skills qualifications. As Anita has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, she specialises in supporting Maths and ICT qualifications.

Ann buttivant

Ann has been working in the field of Nursery Education and Early Years for more than 25 years as a Teaching Assistant, Nursery Manager, Trainer and Assessor. Ann holds L3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, L3 Award in Education and Training, a Level 4 IQA Award, and is a key part of our Internal Quality Assurance team.

Sheila Kemp

Sheila has more than 20 year’s experience as a Childcare Trainer, Assessor and also QA analyst, while having also managed a Nursery Setting for 5 years.  Sheila’s experience spans nursery schools, after-school clubs and holiday clubs. Sheila also works with youth centres on a voluntary basis, planning activities and trips for children and young adults.

ELAINE MATHER

Elaine has a very strong background in leadership and project delivery across financial services, oil and gas, aircraft engineering, insurance, retail, engineering and the charity/non-profit sectors. Elaine has an MBA, a Diploma in Management Consultancy and is PRINCE2® certified.

ANDY MORRIS

Andy is a Chartered Fellow of CMI and a Fellow of ILM and also carries membership affiliations with APMG International, Health and Safety Executive, City and Guilds, PeopleCert and British Computer Society. Andy has achieved an expansive portfolio of proven global success across multiple industries, sectors and cultures.
